Austin-based Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS) provider ClearBlade Inc. has raised $750,000 of planned funding from private North American investors, including a strategic investment from Phunware, the pioneer of Mobile as a Service (MaaS) – the only fully integrated services platform that enables brands to engage, manage and monetize users on mobile.
ClearBlade will use the funding to expand their patent-pending Mainframe-to-Mobile™ technology and continue to build out strategic partnerships and customer acquisition activities. ClearBlade’s technology allows businesses to mobile-enable legacy systems that previously were difficult to weave into a corporate mobile strategy.
“Enterprise companies need their mobile applications to be an integral part of their computing ecosystem”, said Eric Simone, ClearBlade’s CEO and founder, “This round of investment allows us to further enhance our Mainframe to Mobile platform to address that need. The investment from Phunware deepens our partnership and broadens the suite of offerings both companies can provide to large enterprises.”
“At Phunware, we firmly believe in a mobile first approach for every brand in every vertical in every corner of the world. Our strategic investment in ClearBlade helps make that approach possible for businesses wrestling with legacy systems in a fluid, mobile landscape”, commented Alan S.
